R2 and Yoruba Records come together on this joint release double-pack 12” to celebrate 25 years of the labels featuring eight tracks never before on vinyl.
The R2 disc features Karizma’s in-demand Gospel House bomb “Spirit” alongside never before released Josh Milan Remix, a Karizma Dub, and a vinyl-only exclusive alternate take.
The Yoruba disc features two tracks from Osunlade’s Electricity release, the title track taking the BPMs up with pulsating drums layered with soothing pads and delayed vocals. Sumpin’ Like Dis keeps the tempo high and the vibes sweet.
Afefe Iku makes a rare appearance on the flip with his signature deepness on 823 for the late-night beat down. The set concludes with the Karizma “Baltimore Drip” Remix of Mr. Flip’s Drippin’ to complete the package.
