John Carroll Kirby

John Carroll Kirby has created the official soundtrack album for feature film The Luckiest Man in America. Directed by Samir Oliveros and starring Paul Walter Hauser, Johnny Knoxville, Patti Harrison, Maisie Williams, and Walton Goggins, The Luckiest Man in America tells the story of Michael Larson’s appearance on the game show “Press Your Luck”.

John says: “Samir and I hit it off immediately. We’d talk music and travel and cooking. Things flowed smoothly and we always felt aligned. Samir was always down to experiment, and that freedom really allowed me to feel like I was an integral part of the storytelling.”

The Luckiest Man in America isn’t John Carroll Kirby’s first foray into film scores; his original soundtrack album for the animated feature Cryptozoo came out in 2021. Kirby has also released several albums on Stones Throw, most recently 2023’s Blowout.
