If one could summarize the life of DJ Rambo in 4 tracks it would be with this EP, from dubbed out Euro Dance to Merengue - another mistake release on Poppers.Dance floor tool release by supposedly star-on-the-rise disc jockey – DJ Rambo. We have no idea who this person is, but one could guess this is one way to find out. Some rather heated opinions on the track list, but politics apart, A1 features a downtempo chugger yet unconventionally dubbed out version of what sounds like an early German Euro House production. A2 shifts gears with Italo tinted sexy house beats. On the flip side 90's Merengue sounds with ravey samples and dubbed out soap opera esque vocals. Lastly, a climatic commentator recording of what seems to be a football match between Brazil and Argentina.
In anticipation of the 35th anniversary next year one of electronic music's most influential recordings, the legendary E2-E4, from 12.12.1981 does get an official rerelease by Manuel Göttsching on his own Label MG.ART. LP 180g, beautiful embossed Chess Board Artwork Print, inner sleeve with artist picture and text by David Elliott.
Di'jital Blak is back with a Modular killer that is sure to get the dance floor shaking . Di'jital Blak Orson Chronicles EP, is a new look at the way basslines are recorded from a modular synth set up , from programmed drums set deep in a 808 feel , the tracks are dj friendly & pumped up in BPM so jocks have a lot of space to mix, make sure you grab 2 copies if you are into beat juggling it's all there for you !
‘Cinema’ is a brilliant snapshot of both artists working together in unison, with Fabrice providing his trademark ‘high tech funk & soul’ sound alongside Wolfgang’s keen, tried and tested ability to fuse clever pop inspirations and catchy vocals through the use of robotic mechanics. Perfect music which balances the headphones and dancefloors on the horizon. Five versions are on hand with the EP, including the original version of ‘Cinema,’ a French version of the original, as well as a remixes from Detroit’s Ectomorph, UK Electro kingpin Carl Finlow, and Dutch synthesis maestro Versalife aka Conforce. The original version of ‘Cinema’ is a gorgeous slice of sonic wizardry designed for exploring the borders between underground electronic club music and pop sensibilities. Catchy vocals play alongside a multitude of synth textures, coexisting perfectly in a melodic mélange equally as pleasing to the ears as the dancing feet.
